Join the JEDI Allies in watching the 2022 Academy Award Best Picture of the Year, CODA (Children of Deaf Adults). It provides a rare moment of visibility for the Deaf community and gives viewers an opportunity to understand the deaf community as well as the impact of being a hearing child of deaf parents. In addition to learning more about the deaf community and adult children from hearing-impaired families, the discussion will encompass insights from our church community, including adult children of immigrants and families for whom English is not their first language.

The film is 1h and 51 minutes long and will be followed with a short discussion. Those needing to leave earlier are welcome. During the showing, in the Fellowship Hall, movie snacks, drinks, and food (i.e., hot dogs as well as vegetarian and gluten-free food options) will be provided.
