Revolutionary Love for Building Beloved Community

Amanda Udis-KesslerJoin us for Online Worship Service

Building Dr. King’s “Beloved Community” means committing ourselves to a revolutionary love that will allow us to work effectively at an individual interpersonal, cultural, and institutional level. What might such love look like? On this day of the traditional celebration of love, we will reflect on the roles of discomfort, humility, vulnerability, and sacrifice in revolutionary love, and will consider some spiritual practices to help us carry out this work. Amanda Udis-Kessler is our guest speaker.

A former member of High Plains, and one of our favorite speakers, Amanda Udis-Kessler is a sociologist, ethicist, social justice educator, lay preacher, and sacred music composer.  She is happy to support HiP Church in this way while Rev McKay recovers.
